Sneha Keran Spastic Society of Mysore is an NGO providing specialized therapeutic and rehabilitation facilities for children affected with Cerebral Palsy, in the city of Mysore.
This is the only center providing all the necessary services under one roof and having the support of dedicated medical and paramedical professionals. Children are provided physic, occupational and speech therapy, special education, need-based aids and appliances and counseling for the family.
There are about 2000 children in and around Mysore who need help. We are able to reach out to 60 children at present. The center caters to children from the age of 4+ years to young adults. Children are grouped ability-wise for educational inputs.
The rehabilitation of a child with CP is a challenge to all involved. Being a multifaceted problem, it requires a multi-disciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special educators, medical professionals and social workers for rehabilitation and overall development of the children. Sneha Kiran provides all these facilities under one roof.
