My experience with GIED and the Macau International Workcamp reignited my desire in pursuing a life dedicated to service and development. The Macau International Workcamp was a 10-day volunteering experience at Macau, China (June 12-21, 2019), in which our primary task was to assist the Macau New Chinese Youth Association members and other people in the preparation of their Na-Tcha festival and to spread the festival to people in Macau.
My voluntary service opens a lot of opportunities for me to go to other places in Germany and Europe and attend seminars and training courses that helped me develop my skills and meet people from different parts of the world. I was able to witness and experience also the traditions and customs of Germany in celebrating Christmas, New Year, Easter and wedding. ".
I had fun interacting with various people while serving the community. I learn a lot from the interactions and stimulating activities that helped me grow as a person. It also allowed me to get to know different cultures through the other international volunteers.
